Custom Pricing for Audio Materials and Recording Services
At Talking Owl Technologies, we believe in offering flexible and transparent pricing that’s tailored to each individual project. Whether you’re embarking on a large-scale recording session, digitizing rare analog materials, or restoring audio files, we customize our pricing based on the complexity and specific requirements of your project. We offer our complete digitization services for roughly $50 per hour of analog tape. For example, if you have ten 60 minute compact cassettes, including the pre and post production, the cost would be $500. The pre-production includes a careful assessment of the analog materials. Often magnetic tape needs attention due to degradation or if stored incorrectly. Post-production includes audio restoration to ensure signal clarity, and the digital file creation with appropriate naming and metadata for digital storage and accessibility. We include two digital file formats: 24Bit-96kHz archival quality files as well as smaller standard .mp3 files for use as access files or for streaming purposes.
Here’s an overview:
- Audio Production Services
Our rates for audio production vary depending on several factors, including the length of the session, the equipment required, and the level of engineering expertise needed. Whether you’re recording a podcast, voiceover, or a full-scale audio project, we ensure that you receive high-quality, professional-grade audio that meets your exact needs. - Audio Restoration and Editing
For restoration services, pricing is based on the condition of the audio and the extent of restoration required. Using cutting-edge AI-powered tools, we can remove background noise, clicks, and pops, and restore clarity to damaged recordings. The more complex the restoration, the more specialized tools we may use, which will impact the final cost. No matter the project, we work with you to ensure your restored audio is as clean and vibrant as possible. - Digitization of Analog Materials
The cost of digitizing analog materials is determined by the quantity and type of media (e.g., cassette tapes, reel-to-reel, VHS tapes) as well as any post-processing required to enhance the digital files. Every project includes careful handling of your original materials, ensuring they are returned safely, along with your new digital files in the format of your choice.
